If the MapGeo customer chooses to purchase and manage their own CartoDB account then they do have full control over their map visualizations which are consumed by MapGeo. So, a Basemap theme created for the mash-up with the Google Basemaps is customizable by the client in this scenario.
While it is technically possible to create custom styles for the Google Basemap, this is not something we currently support in MapGeo.
The sales cluster layer as demo’d on the MaldenMA MapGeo site is a sample of what’s possible with the integration of CartoDB’s visualizations in MapGeo. With the Share function, the zoom level at which you are viewing the map will be supplied in the shareable URL. With the print function, the printable map maintains the same zoom level and scale as the interactive map at the time of generating the printable map. Therefore if you are using a large monitor and browser window, you may need to pan your map to center the portion of the map you wish to be printed so that it is included in the printable map.
